The Namibian National Olympic Committee (NNOC) keeps making huge strides
towards improving the life of local athletes while also making information available
for members of the public as well as all interested parties. In this regard, the NNOC –
yesterday officially unveiled their new bus as well as launching their new website at a
media conference in Windhoek.
The bus was generously donated by Daimler Group, one of the Internal Olympic
Committee’s (IOC) main sponsors. As stated by the President of the NNOC, Hon.
Agnes Tjongarero, the vehicle can be used by all the NNOC’s affiliated members
when the need arises.
“The bus is available for all our members to use when they have to transport athletes
around or anything of that sort. We are extremely grateful for this donation a we must
make sure that the bus is maintained and used for at least the next ten years”, a
delighted Tjongarero said. The vehicle will be available once all the paper work is finalized. Tjongarero stressed that there will be rules to follow when making use of the bus.
Furthermore, the NNOC presented its new webpage (www.olympic.org.na
was developed by their marketing partners from Proactive Sports Marketing &
Management. The website includes a media centre, content about the NNOC as well a media archive.
